Getting to the Ngorongoro Crater
- From Arusha – The most common route is a drive from Arusha (approximately 3–4 hours, 190 km) along the Arusha-Ngorongoro Road. The journey takes you through scenic highlands, with views of the Mount Meru and parts of the Great Rift Valley.
- From Serengeti – If coming from the Serengeti National Park, a 6–7-hour drive is required, passing through the Naabi Hill Gate and into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The road is a bit rough, so a sturdy vehicle is essential.
